Broadgrove have secured full planning permission for Forshaw Land and Property Group at Land to the South of Doris Avenue for 30no. affordable dwellings.

Be One Homes, Registered Provider and charitable Community Benefit Society, will maintain and manage the approved scheme.

The development proposes a mix of 16no. two bed, two storey terraced houses, 8 three bed, two storey semi-detached houses, and 6 one bed cottage apartments within three two storey buildings.

The presence of a Public Right of Way to the west of the site, topography, and ecology matters represented challenges during the application process, however all matters were resolved resulting in a recommendation for approval. The proposal received unanimous approval at Bolton Council’s planning committee on 11 June 2026, with Members recognising the delivery of much-needed affordable homes for local residents. A decision notice approving the application was issued on 29 June 2026.
