On behalf of our client Bildurn Group, Broadgrove submitted planning and listed building consent applications for residential redevelopment of the former Lilley & Stone school in Newark.

The school has been vacant for a number of years, on the edge of the Town Centre of Newark. A complex site which requires careful consideration and balancing of issues, including heritage (partly within a Conservation Area and containing Grade II Listed Buildings), loss of sports pitches and various other technical constraints.

The hybrid application seeks the conversion of 3 no. retained heritage buildings to provide 32 apartments and erection of 35 new dwellings including access, parking and landscaping within the northern portion of the site and outline permission is sought in the southern part of the site for the erection of up to 67 new dwellings

The scheme incorporates a sensitively designed residential conversion of the Listed Buildings and redevelopment to enhance the currently derelict brownfield, town centre site.
